Abiodun AGBELUSI
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Abiodun AGBELUSI was born
in December 30th, 1965, Lagos, Nigeria.
He graduated from
the Ibadan Polytechnic, Ibadan, Nigeria and the colorist school, Auchi
Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo States almost two decades majoring in Painting.
A prolific and versatile
artist whose media are Acrylic, Oil, Water color, Pastel, Charcoal and
Gouache. Also Coffee and extract from the natural leaves.
I’ve had over six solo exhibitions
to my credit and also participated in several group exhibitions in Nigeria,
United States of America, United Kingdom, Belgium, France, Switzerland,
South Africa, Ghana, Lome, Republic of Benin to mention a few.
I have also worked as a cartoonist
and illustrator with Nigerian newspapers and magazines such as, The Guardian
Newspapers, The Comet Newspapers, Heart and Sweetheart magazines.
My works can be found in
many private, public and corporate collections across Nigeria and overseas
and finally executed numerous commissioned jobs.
Abiodun has also participated
in several workshops both in Nigeria , Africa and outside Africa.
