Different Strokes:

Strong brush work and bold color schemes define the highly abstract work of Khursid Alam Saleem.  He derives inspiration from nature, as well as human relations with nature.  his spatial distribution is geometric, and he divides his compositions into crowded planes of color.  A palette of deep red, yellows and blues applied in thick overlapping layers defines his technique.  Wan Jiyuan, vice director of China Int' Exhibition Center, said, "The trend towards modern elements is vividly present in 
these paintings.  His work is mostly an abstract synthesis with a new take on the classical style.  Vibrant, elementary colors are delicately applied and integrated in a modern form."
