Art and creation is for me a kind of sixth sense. I see, hear, taste, smell, touch and also create. I will be not able to live without this sixth sense.
I think that our existence in a philosophical/cosmic sense is senseless. Because that we shouldn’t take ourselves so damn seriously. If we could do this our lives would be 100% more tolerable. From the moment that we are born, we are dying too. The life of the majority of the people consists of daily warfare to survive. The majority of the people are born and died poorly. Whatever I, us an individual, try to do to help others it will not change anything. How to reconcile that with our belief about our greatness, about our uniqueness? Maybe I am too stupid to understand the profound sense of our existence. But nevertheless because we are here on this planet as a part of the universe we should be happy, honest, and free (free in our mind) and to do the best what we can do to become better humans.
The only freedoms that I posses are my thoughts, my feelings, my choices, my vocation and my creations. I am very happy to be able to share my passion with other humans.
I try to express my personal philosophy in my paintings.
Info about me:
I was born in Poland and as a brave young polish citizen I followed the official education system. As well as the official school education, at the age of thirteen I started taking art classes and art training. Two years later I sold my first painting. At that time I also started to write poems, something that I still do.
I studied art at private ateliers in Lodz in Poland and in Vienna in Austria. One of the artists who taught me traditional painting and drawing was the well known Polish artist Feliks Paszkowski.
But the most famous teacher I have had was and is Leonardo da Vinci. Obviously I had no personal tuition, but he is my hero!
I have a university degree in Slavic languages and literature, which I obtained in Lodz and Amsterdam. I have also studied Philosophy and did Postgraduate study in management in Amsterdam.
I have lived in several countries with different political systems; diverse cultures, different languages, peoples, and landscapes and that fact has had a big influence on my development and growth as a person and as an artist.
Although I have painted my whole life I became full-time artist in 2003.
I am a member of the Netherlands Professional Union for Visual Artists (BBK), National Associate for Visual Artist (NABK), Devon Artist Network (UK) and member of "Akant" Society for Poets (PL).
Most of my paintings have been sold to private collectors and to order (approx. 110 works to 54 collectors).
